Adani Green Energy Unit commissions 150 MW wind power project in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy on Wednesday said its unit AWEKTL has launched a 150 MW wind power project in the Kutch district of Gujarat. The project was commissioned nine months ahead of schedule. In the Adani Green Energy Stock Exchange information, “Adani Wind Energy Kutch Three Limited (AWKTL) has commissioned a 150 MW wind power project, which was commissioned nine months ahead of schedule. AWEKTL is a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL).

According to the company, this is the sixth project in the last 12 months that has been prematurely launched. The project has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation (SECI). The deal is priced at Rs 2.82 per kilowatt hour. With this project, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 5,075 MW. It has 647 megawatts of wind power projects. The company aims to establish a 25,000-megawatt renewable energy capacity by 2025.

The total renewable energy capacity of the company is 24,294 MW. This includes assets to be acquired and projects where AGEL is a low bidder. With this 150 MW, AVEL has added 2,525 MW to its total operating capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the statement said. Of this, 1,750 MW capacity has been achieved through acquisition.
