Afghanistan opener Najibullah Tarakai was injured in a road accident and is in critical condition. Afghanistan Cricket Board interim chief executive Nazim Zar Abdulrahimzai said that he is not sure whether Najib will be able to return to this condition.

Najeeb was crossing the road from the grocery store in East Nangarhar when he was hit by a car passing by, after which he was immediately taken to the hospital. Abdulrahimzai said that Najeeb was injured in a road accident on Friday and is still in the ICU. His condition is not stable and doctors say his injury is quite serious.
