Ajinkya Muttiah Muralitharan breaks huge record for Hazlwood

Team India star spinner R Ashwin broke Sri Lanka’s former spinner Muttiah Muralitharan’s huge record as he picked up a wicket in the second innings of the Melbourne Test match against Australia. Muralitharan’s record of dismissing most left-handed batsmen in Test cricket is now in Ashwin’s name. Ashwin has taken 375 wickets in Test cricket, of which 192 batsmen are left-handed. Speaking of Muralitharan, he took 800 wickets in Test cricket, including 191 left-handed batsmen.

BCCI has been on the water since returning from UV retirement

On the fourth day of the second Test match between India and Australia, Gavaskar, India tied Australia’s second innings for 200. R Ashwin picked up three wickets in the first innings and two in the second innings. Ashwin dismissed Australia’s second innings by dismissing Hazelwood. England’s fast bowler James Anderson is third in Test cricket for dismissing left-handed batsmen, dismissing 186 left-handed batsmen out of a total of 600 wickets.

The bad news for Team India is that Umesh Yadav may opt out of the third Test

Australia’s former fast bowler Glenn McGrath (172/563) is at number four and Australia’s Shane Warne is fifth (172/708). In sixth place is former India captain Anil Kumble (167/619). The funny thing is that out of these six bowlers, Ashwin alone has taken less than 400 Test wickets. Apart from Ashwin and James Anderson, the other four bowlers have also retired from international cricket.
