Before its release, makers have renamed Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Lakshmi Bomb’ as ‘Lakshmi’.
Amid the backlash of the title, film critic and film business analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that the title was changed to ‘Lakshmi’.
Adarsh tweeted: “New Development… #LaxmiBombs Title Changed … New Title: #Laxmi … Premieres on 9 November 2020 #DisneyPlusHotStarVIP… Stars # Akshay Kumar and #KiaraAdvani.”
After selecting the previous title, filmmaker Raghava Lawrence said, “I considered going the same for the Hindi remake.
“By the grace of God, it is emerging as a movie cracker, so we named it ‘Lakshmi Bomb.’
The ‘Khiladi’ actor is playing the roles of ‘Asif’ and ‘Lakshmi’ while one is trying to convince Kiara’s parents while the other has come to take revenge.
As the dialogue affirms, ‘Asif’ does not believe in ghosts – “Jis din sach may just samne bhoot ay na, toh ma kasam chudia pehn lunga. (I swear by my mother that the day the demon appeared in front of me in reality, I would wear bangles). ”
The film is set to premiere on November 9, 2020 at DisneyPlus Hotstar.
