All-rounder Angelo Mathews opts out of Sri Lanka Cricket’s contract list

Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews is not included in the national contract. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that Angelo Mathews is not among the 18 cricketers who have signed the men’s national contract. In May, Sri Lanka Cricket unveiled a five-point ranking system, reducing the number of players in national contracts from 32 to 24.

There is a lot of disagreement regarding this agreement. Sri Lankan players then signed contracts against England and India under a temporary arrangement. According to the Cricbuzz report, the selection committee has selected players based on four divisions of Sri Lankan cricket. These four categories have parameters such as performance, fitness, leadership / seniority, professionalism / code of conduct, and future / compatibility.
