Amol Majumdar appointed as coach of Mumbai for the domestic for Tuvu 2021-22, Wasim Jaffer and Bahule

Amol Majumdar will be the coach of the Mumbai team for the domestic season 2021-22. The decision was taken following the recommendation of the Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). CIC president Jatin Paranjape, which also includes Nilesh Kulkarni and Vinod Kambli. The CIC interviewed 9 candidates for the post, including names like Wasim Jaffer, Sairaj Bahle.

Along with Amol Majumdar, CIC has interviewed Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Wasim Jaffer, Sairaj Paule, Sukhalakshina Kulkarni, Pradeep Sundaram, Nandan Fadnis, Umesh Patwal and Vinod Raghavan. Majumdar leads the Mumbai team. He is considered one of the most successful domestic cricketers in India. Majumdar has played 171 first class matches and scored over 11,000 runs.

Majumdar played domestic cricket between 1993 and 2013. Amol Majumdar is the Rajasthan Royals coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise.
