Andhra Pradesh temple raid case: DGP said – TDP and BJP activists are among the accused

NEW DELHI: More than 20 TDP and BJP activists have been accused of spreading lies and spreading lies in Andhra Pradesh Police Director General (DGP) Digi Sawang on Friday, giving a new twist to the attack on temples in Andhra Pradesh. Following this statement from the DGP, both opposition parties have accused the administration of acting as a YSR Congress spokesman.

The DGP said that two days after the accusations of treasure hunters, trustees and others were attacked, 15 activists of these parties were arrested for spreading lies in temples. Were involved.

The TDP and the BJP have severely criticized the DGP for this latest claim and said that Sawang should renounce his khaki uniform and wear the YSR Congress chola. State TDP President K Achanayadu tweeted, “You will find YSRC spokesman instead of DGP of the state”.

State BJP general secretary S Vishnuvardhan Reddy described the DGP’s statement as a new political gimmick that misleads the public and hides the loose attitude of the police. At a press conference on January 13, the DGP said that most of the crimes (attacks on temples) had been committed by stealing from the Treasury, Moorish believers, drug dealers and others.

He has not said anything about the conspiracy or the ‘political guerrilla fight’ behind the 44 major cases on temples in recent months. However, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy described the attacks as “a conspiracy against their government and a political guerrilla fight to disrupt the welfare agenda”.

At a press conference on Friday, Sawang counted nine such cases, claiming that 15 activists or supporters of the TDP and the BJP were arrested for falsely propagating the attacks on the temples and six were absconding.
