Italian automaker Piaggio will launch its new 125cc scooter in India. It will be named the Aprilia SXR 125 based on the company’s SXR 160 scooter. It is a messy scooter in appearance and styling. The company has also started pre-booking the scooter, which can be done through the Aprilia dealership or online platform. Customers can book a scooter by paying a token amount of Rs 5000.
It will be the engine
The Aprilia SXR 125 is powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 9.4bhp and 9.9Nm of torque. The engine is connected to the CVT automatic transmission. The same engine is already offered on the company’s other two scooters, the SR125 and the Storm 125, and no changes are expected.

Speaking of features, the new Aprilia SXR 125 is offered with LED headlights, LED taillights, full digital cluster, Bluetooth mobile connectivity option, comfortable seating, adjustable rear suspension, disc brakes and signature Aprilia graphics with CBS. The company claims that customers get style, performance and a comfortable ride experience.
