Arjun Rampal appeared before the NCB today and is on trial for drugs

Actor Arjun Rampal has reached out to the Narcotics Control Bureau or the NCB for an investigation into the drug case. The NCB is questioning him on the Drugs case. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) called on Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal on Wednesday to inquire into the Drugs case, but the actor sought an extension until December 21 to appear before the NCB.

After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there is an investigation into drug use in Bollywood. Rampal has been called to trial for the second time in a drug case. On November 13, the agency questioned him for seven hours. Rampal was called by the NCB on Wednesday after receiving information from some of the people arrested in the case, the official said.

Under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the NCB raided Rampal’s home in Bandra, Mumbai last month and seized some electronic equipment and drugs. The NCP has questioned Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades for two days last month. Gabriella’s brother Aguillos Demetrides was detained at the resort in Lonavla in October, the official said. He is accused of being in contact with drug traffickers. Rampal’s friend Paul Bartle has been arrested by the NCB on drug charges.

Notably, following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June, the NCB has launched an investigation into alleged drug use in Bollywood based on a WhatsApp chat. The central agency had earlier arrested Rajput’s girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, his brother Shouvik, some of the late actor’s employees and others under the NDPS Act. Ria Chakraborty and a few other accused are currently out on bail.
