As of August, 7.43 crore people in India were infected with corona, ICMR’s Second National Cirroserv reveals

About 7 percent of India’s population, over 10 years old, was infected with corona by August. This means that as of August, 7.43 crore people in the country had contracted the corona virus. This was revealed in the second Cirroserve of the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR). The survey also revealed that the virus is more prevalent in urban slums, then in other parts of cities and then in rural areas.

On the other hand, according to data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Thursday, 44,489 new cases have been reported in India since the arrival of Kovid-19 and the number of infections in the country has increased to 92.66 lakh out of which 86.79 lakh people are free of infection. There have been 92,66,705 cases of Covid-19 reported in the country so far. After the deaths of 524 people, the death toll rose to 1,35,223. Currently, 4,52,344 people in the country are being treated for coronavirus infection.

According to the results revealed by the Lancet Global Health pre-print, the prevalence of cirrhosis of less than 10 per cent indicates that the majority of the population in India is still infected with coronavirus. “Most Indians will continue to spread the infection until they have achieved their immunity by natural or vaccination,” the report states. Most experts say that more than 50 percent of people develop antibodies after developing antibodies.

One out of every 9 individuals who previously reported no COVID-19 related symptoms was found to have SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies. Seroconversion was found in people not in contact with any Covid-19 case.

“Our data support extending the testing strategy for people who have no symptoms or are not exposed to coronary infection,” the report states. We found that only 3 percent of seropositive people reported Covid-19 symptoms. . Between May and August the cirro circulation increased 10-fold. The lower infection to case ratio in August compared to May shows a significant increase in trials nationwide.
