Both teams are 1-1 after the first two Tests. England won the first Test by 227 runs and the second Test by India by 317 runs. In the second Test, Ashwin scored a total of eight wickets (5 in the first innings and 3 in the second innings) and a century. Ashwin was named Man of the Match. Kuldeep Yadav was not given the opportunity to play the first Test, but was also impressed by bowling in the second Test.
