Itanagar: A soldier is a martyr in militant attacks targeting Assam Rifle force personnel engaged in tanker water supply. On Sunday morning, militants attacked Hetlong village using improvised explosives at 9.40 am.
Another soldier is seriously injured and is being treated in hospital. The militants who threw the explosive device immediately hit the ground. The soldiers then retrieve their weapons. Local police suspected that this was the handiwork of the NSCN-IM militants. But so far no organization has been held accountable.
