Asus’ upcoming gaming smartphone with up to 24GB of RAM and a powerful processor

ASUS launched its ROG Phone 5 smartphone a few months ago. Companies like Xiaomi and iQOO are bringing new gaming phones. In such a situation, Asus is also preparing to bring the ROG phone 5S model soon. According to the Vietnamese tipster, the Asus ROG Phone 5S sees three major upgrades over the original ROG Phone 5. Good processor and performance
The company will make the biggest change in the phone’s processor. It is expected to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor. This is better than the original 5nm based SoC. While the GPU is similar to the previous one, the Adreno 660. Apart from the better chipset, the display is upgraded on the phone. According to Tipster, the new Asus phone gets a 90Hz refresh rate display.

RAM up to 24 GB
The third upgrade on the phone is RAM capacity. According to the report, virtual RAM can be found on the ASUS ROG Phone 5S. RAM can be expanded up to 6 GB in the new handset. For example, if there is an 18GB RAM variant, the software can expand it to 24GB RAM. Yet this virtual RAM uses a bit of internal storage. The phone can get 256GB and 512GB storage, which is not a problem in such a situation.

Despite these major changes, the ROG Phone 5S may not be the same as the original ROG Phone 5. According to the latest leaks, the phone will be coming in variants with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The leaks suggest that the new smartphone will be unveiled in China on August 16. However, its global launch will not occur before September.
