A recent Microsoft report claims that dangerous malware has victimized large web browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. The malware is named AdroJek, which came out in May of this year. However, it peaked in August. It hunts around 30 thousand devices every day.

It also shows ads in malware search results and even adds dangerous browser extensions. The main purpose of the malware campaign is to take users to affiliate pages. To do this, it will need to silently add bad browser extensions and change the browser settings. For example, it turns off MsEdge.dll in Microsoft Edge Browser, which controls browser security.
