In 2020, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors, two of the country’s two largest two-wheeler manufacturers, launched their first electric scooters in the domestic market. Both Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube started their journey almost simultaneously, but Bajaj Chetak TVS iQube has been far behind.

Last year, Bajaj Auto sold a total of 1,337 units of its Chetak electric scooter nationwide. At the same time, TVS Motors has sold only 290 units of its single electric scooter iQube in a year. There is a significant difference in the sales figures of these two scooters, and most people are interested in Bajaj Chetak.

Initially, Bajaj Auto started booking its Chetak scooter in only two cities, including Bangalore and Pune. Now the company plans to launch this scooter booking in 24 other cities across the country from April to March 2022. Currently, the company sells this scooter in only two cities.

Bajaj Chetak’s popularity can be attributed to the fact that the registration number of this scooter has crossed 50,000 units. It should be noted here that registration does not mean booking a scooter. No payment is required for scooter registration. This can be understood by the way more than 50 thousand people have shown interest in this scooter.
