Bajaj’s Chetak Electric Scooter (Bajaj Chetak Electric) has been receiving good response from customers. The company had to stop booking the scooter in 48 hours. The company claims the booking has been stopped due to heavy demand. Currently, this scooter is only available in two cities of the country – Pune and Bangalore. Now the company will launch it in two new cities to meet demand.
According to the news, to further boost sales, Bajaj Auto will now launch its battery-powered scooter in Pune and Chennai soon, followed by Chennai and Hyderabad. As of December 2020, Bajaj has a total of 18 Chetak sellers in India. Five of these are in Pune and the rest are in Bangalore. This scooter is in direct competition with electric scooters such as the Athar 450X and TVS iQube.

Recently increased prices
The company recently increased the scooter price to keep up with demand. The company has increased the price of its scooter from Rs 27,000 to Rs 1,42,620 (ex-showroom, Pune). Let us tell you, there was a second time when the price of scooters was increased. Earlier in March, the company had raised about Rs 5,000.

95 km Driving range
This scooter comes with 3 kWh battery and 4.08 kWh. Has an electric motor. It comes with two different driving modes – Sport and Environment. The company claims that the scooter can travel up to 95 km in Eco mode and up to 85 km in Sport mode. At the same time, it takes about 5 hours for the battery to be fully charged. However, with a quick charging system, it can charge up to 25 percent in just 1 hour.
