Before the second stage of the IPL, BCCI gives the green signal for bubble-to-bubble transfer

The second leg of the IPL 2021 will be held in the UAE from September 19. At the moment, players from many countries play for their national team in different countries. In such a situation, BCCI teams have decided that they can move from one biological bubble to another. The BCCI has already approved the IPL’s biological bubble in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and India vs. England Test series. Now, BCCI has allowed players in the Sri Lanka and South Africa series to access the IPL’s bio-bubble.

According to Crickbuzz, the BCCI offers 46 pages of health advice for “players and teams coming straight from the bubble created for the England vs India series, Sri Lanka vs South Africa series and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL)”. Supporting staff can be allowed to join the franchise team without quarantine if the criteria are met. Commentators and broadcast teams working on the above three series can take advantage of ‘Bubble to Bubble Transfer’.

The BCCI further stated, ‘All franchisee team members must confine themselves to their hotel rooms for 6 days before entering the bubble. Upon arrival and before any group training activities are undertaken, all team members to be included in the bubble follow the Covid-19 RT-PCR testing process. The nasopharyngeal swab is taken for examination. The test report is available within 8-12 hours of the test sample. Previously, BCCI had asked all franchise teams to vaccinate all members before the start of IPL.
