Bhubaneswar Kumar doesn’t want to play Test cricket! Now the fast bowler has clarified

Team India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar misquoted media reports saying he did not want to play Test cricket. Bhubaneswar tweeted that such reports were unfounded and said he was ready to play in three formats from India.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has said, “There are many articles published that I do not want to play Test cricket. I am always ready for all three forms of cricket for selection in the team. Not selected on the team. Earlier in the tour of England, India will play the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand. India will then play a five-match Test series against the hosts.

According to a report by the Times of India, Bhubaneswar now wants to shift his focus from Test cricket to limited over cricket. As everyone who knows him intimately knows, his work drill has changed a lot nowadays. In addition, heavy weight training, the comfort zone of white ball cricket and the long spell of Test cricket are the main reasons for this decision.

Notably, Bhuvneshwar Kumar played his last Test against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2018. In the last leg of the IPL, Bhubaneswar was injured against Chennai Super Kings, so he could not tour Australia. Bhuvneshwar made his Test debut for India in 2013. He has played just 21 Tests since then. He has taken 63 wickets in 21 Tests at 26.09.
