Gautham Karthik will soon be joining director Badri Venkatesh for the film. This is an action entertainer for which the directors have played the female lead in Sri Divya. According to recent reports, Bigg Boss Season 4 Tamil fame Samyukta Karthik has signed on to play a leading role in the film. After making a mark on the collective, Bigg Boss, has been making some good appearances. He has signed a contract with Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tughlaq Darbar.

While work on the film is in progress, Badri Venkatesh’s project is in the process of being produced by Panni Pannanam. The film stars Rio Raj and Rema Nambeesan in the lead. MS Bhaskar, Adukalam Naren, Rekha, VG Chandrasekhar, Bala Saravanan, Munishkant, Robo Shankar, and Livingston are in the supporting cast. The director, it may be recalled, is best known for directing Bana Kathadi and starring in the venture Nenjamundu Nermindu Odu Raja, a film produced by Semma Botha Agathe and Rio Raj actor Shiva Karthikeyan’s Home Banner. The director, before directing the films, directed the short film Vidalai Nokki, which won the National Film Award for Best Short Story and was the first Tamil short film to win the award. Gautham Karthik, on the other hand, has a Tamil remake of the hit Kannada film Mufti. He is sharing screen space with Simbu in this film. The film was originally directed by Narathan, who directed the original, but due to earlier work commitments, he was sacked and Krishna of Silunu Oru Kadal has come on board.
Kannada superstar, Shiva Rajkumar’s Mufti is one of Sandalwood’s biggest blockbusters. Released on December 1, 2018, the film garnered positive reviews. It is worth Rs. 15 crores in just five days. And the collection rose with good word-of-mouth spreads. Mufti was built under Jayanna’s banner Jayanna Combines. Gautam Karthik’s last film release was Devattam, which was released by MS. Action entertainer, it stars Manjima Mohan as the lead comedian with Suri as the lead pair for Gautam. Supporting roles include Ramdas, Bose Venkat, Vinodini Vaidyanathan, Rajkhiran, Jagapathi Babu, Rahul Dev, and Singampuli. The soundtrack of the film was edited by Niwas K. Prasanna with Shakti Saravanan’s camera cranking and A Sreekar Prasad.
