Bihar Assembly Election 2020 NDA Seat Sharing in Bihar JDU BJP Nitish Kumar Modi Sushil Kumar Modi

This time in Bihar assembly elections 2020, a lot of new things are being seen. BJP and JDU are fighting elections together, but LJP is not together. After LJP split, on Wednesday, the NDA removed the curtain from its seat sharing formula and BJP and JDU seats were announced. After the announcement of the seat sharing between BJP and JDU, one thing caught everyone’s attention was the number of seats. This is perhaps the first time in the politics of Bihar when the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting more seats than Nitish’s JDU. Although BJP contested more seats in Lok Sabha, but Nitish’s party JDU used to play elder brother in the assembly, but this time the dice has turned.

If the 2015 assembly elections are dropped, then the Bharatiya Janata Party and JDU have been together in Bihar politics. In 2015, only JDU and RJD were formed as the grand alliance, as JDU was separated from NDA in 2013 after leaving the 17-year-old after Modi’s name was sealed for BJP’s post of PM. However, in the Bihar Assembly elections 2020, where the Bharatiya Janata Party got 121 seats, JDU got 122 seats. But out of the 122 JDU seats here, seven seats will also be given to Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party Ham. In this way, JDU will contest in total 115 seats in this election.

At the same time, speaking of Bharatiya Janata Party, some of the 121 seats of BJP will be given to Son of Mallah i.e. Mukesh Sahni’s VIP. Although it is not clear how many seats will be given, political pundits believe that VIPs do not see more than three to four seats. Some political pundits also believe that BJP can contest VIP candidates only from its symbol. Overall, if the NDA’s seat sharing formula is seen on 243 seats, then BJP’s number of seats is more than JDU.

In the state of Bihar, Nitish’s JDU and BJP contested for the first time in the year 2005. JDU and BJP have contested three times before Bihar election 2020. First of all, the two parties contested the Bihar assembly elections in February 2005. In this election, out of 243 seats, JDU contested in 138 seats, while BJP contested in 105 seats. That year, no one got a decisive majority and LJP became King Maker, which led to Presidential elections in October.

JDU and BJP were also together in the October 2005 elections. In this election, where JDU fielded candidates for 139 seats, BJP got 104 seats. In this election, the BJP-JDU alliance had won and formed the government. The JDU-BJP also stood in the 2010 assembly elections. In this election, out of 243 seats in Bihar, JDU won 141 and BJP in 102 seats. This time also the NDA government was formed. In this way, whenever BJP and JDU were together in all the elections, JDU had more number of seats, but in this election BJP has more number of seats.
