Model of continuous and assured testing

Araria is a very sensitive district. Politics also bears the mark of communal polarization. In the era of voter identity card (EPIC) and electronic voting machine (EVM), there was a complaint that someone else came to vote in someone’s name. To prevent this, the model was implemented in the last Lok Sabha election. A cluster of every 10 booths was formed in the district. A team was formed under the leadership of a police officer to monitor those ten booths. On the polling day, this team had to continuously check only at the ten booths where their duty is engaged.

Three times training, SOP implemented

Sayali created its own separate SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for clean voting. Police personnel were also given training in three phases. 755 police personnel trained. This included 133 Under Police Inspectors (ASI), 111 Assistant Police Inspectors (SI) and 13 Inspectors. Each team was given the responsibility, keep rounds at their booth continuously throughout the day. Check everyone in the queue for voting. Specifically, the nail was scrutinized, so that those who applied nail polish to the voting ink were identified. Special arrangements were also made to investigate women with veil and mask.

Photographs and faces were printed in his identity card. Some voters are like this, Those who have the same name. Hamnam identity cards were also used for bogus voting. The police team closely examined the identity card. Mixed the name and father’s name. When in doubt, ask for another identity card. This system of careful investigation resulted in reduced bogus voting. There were lawsuits against more than two dozen people. Now this model has to be tested all over Bihar.
