A large number of leaders of various parties have turned their back on Tuesday in the hope of getting tickets for the Bihar Assembly elections. At the same time, BJP leader Rajendra Singh, who was popularly known as the Chief Ministerial candidate in 2015, has also switched sides and joined the LJP, which recently split from the NDA.
He can contest against JDU minister Jai Kumar Singh from Dinara on the LJP ticket. Rajendra Singh had contested from Dinara on a BJP ticket in the last election. LJP spokesman Ashraf Ansari said that many more preferred leaders would join LJP.
Has been a RSS pracharak
Let me tell you that 55-year-old Rajendra Singh, who hails from Dinara’s neighboring Kargahar assembly constituency, has been a long time RSS pracharak and he is considered the narrator of BJP’s victory in Jharkhand in the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections. In 2015, when Rajendra Singh filed for the Dinara Assembly seat, many top ministers of Jharkhand government were present for him. Many top leaders of Jharkhand and UP were involved in his election campaign.
Rajendra Singh is considered a skilled organizer in the BJP. He has worked as an organizer in both Bihar and Jharkhand states. Rajendra Singh has also been a member of Amit Shah’s four-member team set up for Bihar 2015 assembly elections. He was considered the main contender for the Chief Minister’s post by the BJP in the 2015 Bihar Assembly elections.
Let us tell you that LJP has recently announced its separation from the NDA amidst a clash of seats. Party President Chirag Paswan has announced to contest 143 seats. In particular, it will contest against the JDU candidate.
