Bihar Professor Vacancy 2021: Vacant Principal posts in affiliated colleges affiliated to the traditional universities of the State will be re-established. There are about 260 adopted colleges under traditional universities. According to information, about 90 of these have regular headmasters. The remaining 170 colleges have vacant posts of principals. Such colleges are being run with the help of head teachers.
In the traditional universities of Bihar, including Patna University where the headmaster posts are vacant, Pataliputra University Patna, Magadh University Bodh Gaya, Veer Kunwar Singh University Ara, Lalit Narayan Mishra Mithila University Darbhanga, Kameshwara Singh Sanskrit University Darbhanga, B.N. Madhapur, Jaiprakash University Chapra, BRA Bihar University Muzaffarpur, Tilakanji University Bhagalpur, Munger University Munger and Purnia University Purnia.
It should be noted that the right to appoint the principals of the surrounding colleges from the state universities has been deprived. As teachers, now the Principal will be re-appointed by the Bihar State University Service Commission. For this purpose, the provisions of the Bihar State University Service Commission Act 2017 have been amended. This amendment was made by the Bihar State University Services Commission Act 2021. Following the seal of the State Cabinet, the Bihar Assembly and the Governor’s Cum-Chancellor, the government has also published a related gazette. Along with this the Amendment Act has also been enacted.
According to official sources in the Department of Education, Bihar State University Service Commission has taken the right to recommend appointment of Principals of State-affiliated colleges after the passage of the Bihar State University Education Commission Amendment Act 2021 Preparations are underway to take its process to the ground soon. After the preparation of the procedure, the Directorate of Higher Education of the Department of Education will call for details of the vacancies of principals vacated by the state’s traditional universities to their respective colleges. Universities are required to submit a total vacancy to the Department of Education by clearing the vacancy list. Upon vacancy, the Department of Education recommends to the Bihar State University Service Commission to complete the recruitment process by certifying them. After the Commission completes the selection process, a list of candidates selected by the university will be posted in the respective universities in the respective universities.
