In the Indian market, the demand for electric vehicles has increased rapidly in the last few years, especially in the two-wheeler segment. While giants like Bajaj Auto, Hero and TVS have introduced their vehicles in this segment, new startups have launched many vehicles in the market. Bird Electric Mobility, now a subsidiary of Bird Group, is set to launch its new electric scooter Bird ES1 + on the market.
However, the company has not officially shared any information regarding the launch dates of this scooter. But media reports claim it could be released to the market by mid-year. Initially, the new electric scooter will be launched in Delhi NCR and will be introduced in other large cities in the country.
The company first introduced the Bird ES1 + electric scooter at the previous Auto Expo, and since then the ulations about its launch have come to fruition. The scooter will be brought to India via the Complete Knockdown (CKD) route and will be assembled at the company’s plant in Manesar. Recently, Bird Electric has signed a deal with Australian e-mobility brand – Vimoto. Under the agreement, Bird Mobility will purchase a CUMini electric scooter with the intention of testing it for a ride-sharing scheme funded by the Government of India. New Bird ES1 + Electric Scooter
The company has tried to give this scooter a sophisticated design while having advanced features. It features Sharp Design LED headlamp / taillamp with split seat and LCD instrument cluster. In terms of size, its length is 1782 mm, width 727 mm and height 1087 mm. The scooter also has a 1217mm long wheelbase.

As for the powertrain, this electric scooter features a 3Ah capacity lithium-ion battery pack and a 1.6 kW electric motor. On a single charge, the scooter delivers a range of up to 55 km / h and its top speed is 45 km / h. If the company offers this scooter at the lowest price on the market then it is a good option for everyday commuters.
