Hubli: In 2000, Chandrashekhar, who was running for a hiring rally in Hubli, had come to his village to come home after retirement.

43-year-old Chandrashekhar was a BSF soldier in Punjab until his retirement. Chandrashekhar was warmly welcomed after his retirement.

The family had gone in the car to fetch Chandrasekhar, but Chandrasekhar was driving the car to the house. Shivananda Swamiji of Kundagole was waiting to welcome him.

When my father passed away in 1997, he was in financial trouble at home. By this time I was competent in sports, yoga, and physical activity, so I wanted to serve the country, and in 2000, BSF recruitment was organized in Bellary. But I had no money to reach Bellary from Chakkalabbi village, so I drove 43 km to catch Bellary train.
Recalled.

Fortunately I was selected, I joined the service in Bangalore in 2000, then trained in Srinagar, then served in Rajasthan, Meghalaya, New Delhi, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Punjab. From there I ran to my house and reached, ”Chandrasekhar said.

Chandrashekhar is the inspiration for the entire taluk. Shivananda Swamiji of Kundagolla says that one should learn to live by them.
