By bus from Delhi to London; 70 days, 18 countries: Get ready for your dream trip

Ever wondered what a road trip to a city like London would be like? Now that the whole world is under one umbrella, there is no need to wait too long for that journey. Adventure Overland, a tourist company based in Gurugram, Haryana, has announced the launch of a bus service from India to London next year. The company released the exciting news on social media on the occasion of India’s 74th Independence Day.

The 70-day journey will pass through 18 countries. This is a total road trip of 20,000 km. The project is called ‘Bus to London’. They have also launched a website https://bustolondon.in/ for this purpose.

The bus will pass through Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.

This is an unprecedented opportunity for travelers. Many famous cities can be seen on this trip. Thousands of pagodas in Myanmar and rare giant pandas in Chengdu can be seen up close. Climb the Great Wall of China. You can walk through the historic cities of Bukhara and Samarkand in Uzbekistan. Travel through the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan. Before arriving in London, the bus will pass through the European cities of Moscow, Vilnius, Prague, Brussels and Frankfurt.

The 20-seater special bus with business class seats will be used for the journey. In addition to the 20 passengers, there will be a driver, assistant driver, guide and helper. The guide will change at regular intervals along the way. The company will help with the travel visa and other paperwork.

There are four packages included in the bus journey. Travelers can choose different destinations according to their preference, convenience and budget. Charge depends on the package. The entire journey from Delhi to London costs around Rs 15 lakh per person. There is no need to stress about food and accommodation. Travelers can avail luxury amenities during this 70-day adventure. The idea was inspired by a road trip to London in 2017, 2018 and 2019 by travel lovers Thushar Agarwal and Sanjay Madan. Thushar Agarwal, co-founder of the company, said in an interview to a media agency that the first voyage is expected to take place in May 2021.

Travel registration has not yet begun due to the corona virus that is spreading around the world. Registration will start after assessing the corona virus status in different countries.

The 1957 bus journey from London to India is historic. Organized by Oswald-Joseph Garro-Fisher, the bus, The Indymen, had 20 passengers on board. The bus left London on April 15, 1957 and reached Kolkata on June 5, 1957, returning to London on August 2, 1957.
