Chief Minister Palanisamy has ordered to cancel the term examinations other than the final examination of the college in response to the request of the students.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said, “Due to the Corona epidemic, marks are awarded on the recommendation of a high level committee set up by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the benefit of students in higher education and under the guidance of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
For first- and second-year undergraduate students in the arts and sciences, and for students pursuing a degree in various technical disciplines;

I was ordered on 23.7.2020 to be exempted from the examination for this season only and to proceed to the next academic year. Based on that, the Government issued a guideline issued by the Department of Higher Education on 27.7.2020.
At present the request of the students is accepted and in the interest of them, on the recommendation of the High Level Committee constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu,
Students awaiting payment for the examination will also be given marks exempted from appearing for the examination as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
I have directed the Department of Higher Education to issue a detailed order in this regard, ”it said.
