The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided not to curtail curriculum for students in grades 9 to 12 for the academic year 2021-22. CBSE reduced student curriculum burden by 30 percent for the 2020-21 academic year last year to reduce the curriculum burden of students during the Covid-19 crisis.
Students who have dropped the curriculum will sit the exam in May-June.
According to a new syllabus released by CBSE, chapters removed in the previous academic year have been returned to the official curriculum for the upcoming academic session 2021-22.
A CBSE official said, “The board has already announced that the curriculum is being cut only once. At the time, the method of online education was new to reading and teaching.
Last year, CISCE reduced its 10th standard curriculum to 25%. Currently CISCE needs to release its curriculum for the 2021-2022 session.
