CBSE Examination 2021: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday welcomed the CBSE’s decision to cancel the 10th class examination and postpone the 12th class examination in view of the increase in Covid-19 cases.
“I am happy that the tests have been canceled / postponed,” Kejriwal tweeted. This is a huge relief for millions of students and their parents. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and in the presence of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Secretary and other top officials.
After the meeting, a statement sharing information about the decisions taken regarding the exams was issued. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams were scheduled for May 4.
Kejriwal and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday appealed for the cancellation of the board examinations, saying conducting them (tests) would spread coronavirus infection at large.
