A three-match T20 international series between India and Sri Lanka is underway. The first match of the series was played on Sunday at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, as India won by 38 runs to take a 1-0 lead. Team India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya gave Sri Lankan player Chamika Karunaratne a special gift during the match. This was Chamika’s debut T20 International, and Hordik Pandya made it even more special with her special gift. Chamika shared the video with Hardik and also described her as a role model.
Hormick gifted the bat to Chamika. The Sri Lankan player who shared the video said, ‘I am very proud to have taken the bat by role model Hardik Pandya in my T20 international debut. You are a wonderful person and what you did won my heart. I will never forget this day. Chamika has played one Test for Sri Lanka, seven ODIs and one T20 International. Chamika plays bowling all-rounder. Prior to this series between Sri Lanka and India, a three-match ODI series was played and India won 2-1. Sri Lanka won the toss and invited India to bat in the first match of the T20 series. India were 164 for five in 20 overs. Sri Lanka were all out for 126 in 18.3 overs.
