CISCE ICSE Examination 2021: Option not to give exams to 10th standard students

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has postponed the ICSE (10th) and ISC (12th) exams due to increasing coronavirus. The final decision on the new dates will be taken in the first week of June, CISCE says. According to the previously scheduled test schedule, the ICSE and ISC classes will commence on 20 May 2021. The Central Board of Education has given two options for students of Class 10th.

First – Give your exam during the 12th exam.

  • The CISCE notice states that students who choose to take the exam option will have the opportunity to take the exam along with the 12th exam.

Second – don’t sit for the exam

  • CISCE also offered the option of not attending the exam. The board sets a transparent standard for the evaluation of 10th grade students, who choose not to take the test.

Every year about 3 lakh students sit for the ECSE and ISC exams. Last year, 2,07,902 students passed the ICSE exam, of which 2,06,525 passed, meaning 99.33 per cent of students passed the ICSE. At the same time, 88,409 students took the exam last year at ISC, of which 85,611 passed, meaning 96.84 percent of students passed the ISC.
