China’s leading smartphone maker Shiomi is set to launch its Redmi smartwatch in the Indian market. According to reports, the company will launch its first smartwatch with the Note 10S smartphone on May 13. This smartwatch has been debated for a long time, but now its launch date has been officially announced.
Redmi India has released the teaser of its first smartwatch on social media. It will be launched in the Indian market via Virtual Event and available for sale online and at the company’s official vendors. In November last year, the company launched its smartwatch in the Chinese market, where its price is 299 CNY (Chinese currency), which is around Rs 3,352 in Indian currency.
What’s special about smartwatches:
It has a 1.4 inch square shaped display with resolution (320×320) pixels. Its length is 41mm, width 35mm and thickness 10.9mm. It has a 2.5D Tempered Gloss that protects the display. It also supports Bluetooth and has sensors such as heart rate, six axis, geomagnetic and ambient lighting.
According to information provided on the Chinese website, the smartwatch has features such as water protection, which protects the watch up to 50 meters underwater. It has a 230 mAh battery pack, the company claims that it only takes 2 hours for full charge and up to 12 hours once fully charged.
What’s the price:
The smartwatch with a square shaped dial can back up to 12 hours. It is believed that the company can launch it at the same price available for sale in the Chinese market. Redmi’s smartwatch also offers 5 different modes, including indoor running, treadmill, outdoor running, indoor and outdoor cycling, swimming and free activity.
