Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma surprised their fans on Thursday by announcing they would welcome their first child together in January 2021. Virat took to his social media account to share exclusive news with fans and captioned a happy picture with him, Anushka, to cradle her baby bump.
“And then, we are three! Arriving January 2021,” Virat captioned the picture.
Recently, Kohli spoke with Indian opener Mayank Agarwal on the latest issue of ‘Open Nets with Mayank’, praising Anushka for turning him into a good person. The 31-year-old says she is very grateful and blessed to have a life partner like Anushka.
“I give her full credit for making things look completely different and I’m so grateful that she is my life partner because you learn from each other. I was very close. I was not very practical before,” Kohli said.
“So when you look at another person and know that your spouse has a different view of things. You are simultaneously challenged to see another point of view.”
“So it completely changed my mood and completely chased me as a person.”
In another 2018 interview, Virat was open about owning and building his family. He says he wants to give them his time whenever he has kids. “I have a life, I have a family. I have children. They deserve all my time. It’s very clear and close to my heart. I don’t want to take any part of my career home.” Virat said.
