The Bihar Congress has also jumped to the agitation of farmers against agrarian laws. The resolution was passed at the Kisan Congress on Sunday and the central government demanded the repeal of the three laws. If the demands were not met, it was decided to conduct a movement in the state. Along with this, the party also passed another resolution demanding that Rahul Gandhi be re-elected national president.

Speaking after the meeting, party general secretary Tariq Anwar said the echo of the peasant movement in the country has now reached other countries. Many countries are concerned about this. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to run the country like a dictator. If any law is enacted, it is first spoken to the affected community, but Modiji imposes the decision first and then speaks. The country moves with dialogue, not insistence.

He admitted that Congress had to take to the streets in 2006 when the market committees were disbanded in Bihar. But the government understands this will benefit the farmers. But now the situation is beginning to come to the fore. Intermediaries buy food grains from Bihar at cheaper prices and take it to other states and sell it at support prices. Farmer Andelon is also getting speed from Bihar.

Responding to a question, he said, “Rahul Gandhi is standing with the farmers. We raised the voice inside and outside the House. The Congress people are of the opinion that Rahul Gandhi should now be in charge of the party. The election will be reviewed. Where the party is robbed is also checked. But we are not discouraged by defeat. Congress will stand up again in Bihar. We should be able to retrieve the old ground.
