Corona stay positive before two ODIs begin against Bangladesh

Before the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh on Sunday (May 23), two Sri Lankan players and coach, Corona, were struck. Coaches Chaminda Vas, Isuru Udana and Sheeran Fernando Kovid have been positive. Sri Lanka has reached Bangladesh after the defeat of Bangladesh in the domestic Test series. The team won the two-match Test series 1–0.

According to Cricbuzz news, Chaminda Vaas, Isuru Udana and Shiren Fernando Kovid have been positive. Samples of these players were taken on May 21st. However, there are no signs of any of these players and the team is waiting for the Corona Test result taken a day earlier. Wicketkeeper batsman Kushal Perera has been given command of the team for the ODI series against Bangladesh. The Sri Lankan team reached Bangladesh on May 17 and has been blocked ever since. Sri Lanka has made several changes to their squad, including Dimuth Karunaratne’s early partner Kusal Perera as captain and players like Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal. Kushal Mendis has been named team vice-captain for the tour.
