Bangalore: Karnataka Tourism Minister CT Ravi has resigned from his post.
CM Yeddyurappa has resigned on Saturday as CT Ravi was elected BJP national general secretary.
CT Ravi had decided to resign from the October 2 Gandhi Jayanthi. However, CM Yeddyurappa has resigned yesterday, saying he did not get Gandhi’s victory. The decision to accept the resignation of CT Ravi will be taken on Monday.
Ravi is scheduled to travel to Delhi on Monday, where he will inform senior leader JP Nadda about his resignation. The party organizing meeting will be held in Delhi on October 5th and 6th.
There is a rule that one person in the BJP has the same post, so the party cannot be appointed as a minister if it is given a party post. For this reason Ravi has resigned as minister.
