Delhi Police Commissioner S.N. Srivastava on Saturday reviewed the law and order situation in the capital. The chaos between the government and the peasantry is still persistent with regard to agricultural laws. Farmers who are adamant in repealing the laws have declared a cross-border war with the government on the issue. For this, the farmers’ movement along the Delhi border continues on the 80th day.
At a criminal review meeting with senior officers of the police force, the police commissioner has reviewed the measures relating to theft, the NDPS Act, the Drugs, Excise Act and other gambling cases. Srivastava stressed the need for effective and sustainable measures to reduce such crimes.
He urged them to regularly check the list of offenders, including jail or bail or parole. The Commissioners emphasized the importance of evaluating the performance of anti-snatch teams and the regular use of criminal teams.

Anil Mittal, Additional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Delhi Police, briefed the Special Police Commissioner (Expedition) Srivastava about the anti-Kovid-19 vaccine campaign being conducted by Delhi Police personnel.
Srivastava also presented the police team involved in solving the real estate jewelery showroom robbery. The robbery took place in the Maurya Enclave Police Station in January. Based on technical and local intelligence, police have arrested eight people involved in the crime and six people who have stolen items. Police seized 6.5kg of jewelery and two cars from the accused.
It should be noted that the farmers staged a tractor parade on January 26 in support of the demand of farmers’ organizations to repeal the center’s three new agricultural laws. During this time there were violent clashes with their police and some protesters reached the Red Fort. They had the flags of the peasant organizations and the religious flags on the ramparts of the Red Fort. More than 500 police personnel were injured in the violence.
