Maruti Suzuki tops the passenger car segment in the country. In the last few years, Maruti has introduced some models to the market, keeping track of the demand for the compact SUV segment. Although Maruti Brezza emerged as the leader in this segment, the crossover model S-Cross sold by the company’s Nexa showroom couldn’t do much. But in July, demand for this SUV was up.
Sales figures show that in July, Maruti sold 1,972 units of the S-Cross, up 337% from a year earlier, up from 451 units in July. The company sells this car with its crossover look from its premium Nexa showroom.

The Maruti S-Cross comes in a total of four variants, including Sigma, Delta, eta Theta and Alpha. The company used a 1.5-liter petrol engine in this car. It produces 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5 speed manual and a 4 speed automatic transmission mission gearbox. The company has used mild hybrid technology to improve its mileage.
In terms of features, the car gets rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, LED projector headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the company now offers a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be connected to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. However, you won’t get connected car technology in this SUV, which can be found in today’s newer models like Hyundai Creta and Kia Cellos.
Safety is also taken care of in this car. As standard safety features, the SUV receives dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and rear parking sensors. Its price ranges from Rs 8.39 lakh to Rs 12.39 lakh. Normally this car offers mileage up to 18 kmpl.
