Twitter shut down former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account following the violence on Capital Heels in America. Trump removed his account from the social media network Twitter for his violence and his policy violations. Now the company says that their account cannot be returned to the platform.
Twitter will no longer allow former President Donald Trump to return to the platform, the company’s chief financial officer said on Wednesday.
In an interview with Television, Ned Sehgal said, “The way our policies work, you are removed from the platform, you are removed from the platform, whether you are a presenter, CFO or a current or former public official.”
Trump’s “day-platforming” on Twitter led to a deadly siege on the US Capitol on January 6, following a violent coup by his supporters. Facebook and other social networks have banned Trump since the incident.
“Our policies are designed to ensure that people do not incite violence, and if someone does, we must remove them from service and our policies do not allow people to come back,” said Sehgal.
