Dozens of shops raided, sample sealed

Shops were raided by the Department of Agriculture on the complaint of over-uring of urea. In case of manure being suspected, the sample was sealed and sent for examination. The daily requirement of 200 MT was stated.

On Wednesday, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Dr. Raghuraj Singh raided the Instrument Cooperative Society and licensee shops of Patti Tehsil area. Deputy Director of Agriculture said that urea availability is high. Urea is being made available on the instrument cooperative societies from the buffer stock. After two days, according to the demand, supply of urea will start from IFFCO.

He said that on Wednesday, urea has been made available to Hisampur, Kunda Branch, Ramnagar Bhojpur, Purbagaon, Amaruna and PCF Mangarh in Kunda area. Licensee shopkeepers and means cooperative society operators have been instructed on overrating. If such a complaint is received anywhere, strict action will be taken against the concerned.
