Who can make a ration card
>> It is mandatory for a person to be a citizen of India to get a ration card.
>> A person should not have another state’s ration card.
>> Anyone whose name is ration card must be over 18 years of age.
>> The name of a child under 18 is included in the parent’s ration card.
>> In a family, there is a ration card in the name of the head of the family.
>> Members included in the ration card must have close contact with the head of the family.
>> No family member should have a name on any ration card.

How to download ration card at home
Here we tell you how people in Delhi can sit at home and download your e-ration card:

Step 1: For this, you should first go to the official website of the Department of Food, Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Delhi. You can access the site directly by clicking this link https://nfs.delhi.gov.in/.

Step 2: On the home page, you will find the ‘Citizen Corner’ section, where you will see the option of “Get an e-ration card”, click on it.

Step 3: After this you will open a page where you will be asked for details such as ration card number, name of family head, Aadhaar card number of family heads, date of birth and registered mobile number. After filling it, you should click Continue.

Step 4: After this the user will receive the OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and Aadhaar number.

Step 5: Once the process is complete, you will see an e-ration card on your screen. You can download the Ration Card in PDF format by clicking on the Download option.

How many rations are there
BPL Card: Citizens who are below the poverty line and whose annual income is less than ₹ 10,000 are given a BPL or a card below the poverty line.

APL Card: Citizens who are above the poverty line and whose annual income is over ₹ 10,000 are given an APL or above poverty line card.

AAY Card: AAY or Aadiyodaya rice scheme card is issued to citizens who have no fixed income source.
