Euro Cup 2020: Spain expects both infected players to play in the Euro

Spain hopes that captain Sergio Basket and Diego Lorente will be able to return to the European Football Championship (Euro Cup 2020). Both have been found to be positive for the corona virus. Lorente’s test came back positive on Tuesday, but he is likely to be mistaken as his next test came back negative.

The defender will have his next Test on Friday and if he tests negative, he may return to the squad for Monday’s first match between Spain and Sweden. Spain’s preparations were hit last Sunday when the basket test was positive. A player who tests positive must remain in isolation for 10 days, which means the basket will miss the match against Sweden.

Spain coach Luis Enrique said, ‘We are awaiting his return. Well he has time. There is no doubt they are in the basket team. It has no symptoms. By practicing he can prepare himself. In Group E, Spain will face Poland on June 19 and Slovakia on June 23.
