Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has ordered that students who are waiting to pay the fees for examinations other than the college final examinations will be exempted from writing the examination and given marks.
“Due to corona infection, marks are awarded on the recommendation of a high level committee set up by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the benefit of students in higher education as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
For first- and second-year undergraduate students in arts and sciences, and for students pursuing a degree in various technical disciplines;
For first year undergraduate students,
For first, second and third year undergraduate engineering students
For first year undergraduate and postgraduate students
Similarly, M.C.A. For first and second year students
I was ordered on July 23 to be exempt from the exam for this season only and move on to the next academic year. Based on that, the Department of Higher Education issued comprehensive guidelines on July 27.
At present, at the request of the students and in their interest, on the recommendation of the High Level Committee constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, students who are awaiting payment of fees for examinations other than the final term examinations will be given exemption marks from writing the examination under the guidance of the University Grants Commission and the All India Council of Technical Education.
I have directed the Department of Higher Education to issue a detailed order in this regard. “
