Famous director Nishikant Kamat dies after a long illness

Hyderabad: Famous director Nishikant Kamat died at a hospital in Hyderabad after a long illness. He was 50 years old. In July, he was admitted to AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad due to jaundice and abdominal pain. This time he was diagnosed with chronic liver disease and other ailments. After this his condition deteriorated and he was admitted to the ICU. Today he passed away.

A team of gastroenterologists, hepatologists and senior consultants was deployed at the hospital to treat him. The hospital administration had earlier said that his condition was stable though he was in critical condition. But as there was no cure for Nishikant’s illness, concerns were being raised about his condition.

Nishikant Kamat directed many movies

Nishikant Kamat is one of the most renowned directors in Bollywood. These include Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’, Ifan Khan’s ‘Madari’, John Abraham’s ‘Force’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’. Before Bollywood, he had also directed many Marathi movies. He directed the Marathi movie Dombivali Fast. Apart from this, he had also tried his luck in acting. He had acted in Bhavesh Joshi movie. He also had a negative role in the movie Rocky Handsome.
