There has been a lot of uproar in social media in India thanks to the peasant movement that has been going on for the past few months. International celebrities Rihanna and Greta Thornburg tweeted in support of the farmer, followed by veteran cricketers Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and Suresh Raina on Twitter. All of them said that India’s sovereignty could not be compromised and hoped that the issue between the government and the farmers would soon be resolved.
Amid all this, former Indian cricketer Irrfan Pathan tweeted that the controversy has been sung. Although Irfan does not mention the peasant movement in his tweets, he seems to believe that the tweets about Rihanna and Thunberg’s peasant movement should not be so vulgar, given George Floyd’s example.
“When George Floyd was brutally murdered by police in America, the people of our country have expressed their sadness over the incident,” Irfan wrote on Twitter. I’m just saying. ‘
When George Floyd was brutally assassinated by a policeman in America, our country expressed its sadness. # Legitimate
