FIR against Kangana in Tumkur

Tumkur: An FIR has been lodged with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranawat at Kathsandra police station in Tumkur on a court order.

Ramesh Naik, lawyer for Kangana, accused the Farmers’ terrorists on Twitter, and the JMFC Court of Appeal. An FIR has been filed against the actress on the direction of the court.

Farmers have protested all over the country in opposition to the Agricultural Amendment Bill passed by the Central Government. Many farmer organizations have called for a bandh around the country. Protests have intensified in many states in North India, including Punjab. Kangana Ranawat tweeted about the protest and likened the fighters to terrorists. This tweet caused a huge controversy.

High Court lawyer Ramesh Nayak has filed a private complaint in this regard, saying that the Agriculture Amendment Bill has been passed in Parliament. Kangana tweeted on Twitter that the farmers who were protesting against it were terrorists. PCR has filed a criminal complaint in the court stating that it has insulted millions of farmers.

He had lodged a complaint with the DGP and the district police superintendent by e-mail to take action against Kangana. The district principal and the judge sought permission to file a complaint in court after police failed to take action. A private complaint had been filed in the wake of permission. The court has now directed the police to file an FIR.
