Ganesh Chaturthi 2020: Ganpati Murti Sthapana Muhurat and Vidhi

Ganesh Chaturthi 2020 will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22nd. On Ganesha Chaturthi day, devotees set up an idol of Lord Ganesha in their home and worshiped for 10 days.

The idol of Lord Ganesha is installed in the Chaturthi Tithi. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi Tithi starts at 11:02 pm on August 21, 2020 and ends at 07:57 pm on August 22, 2020.

When installing the idol of Ganesha, make sure the idol is facing east or west. Devotees can buy the idol of Lord Ganesha at any time and bring it home.

Before starting the Ganesh Puja, take the Sankalpa and perform the Deep-Prajavalan process. After installing the idol of Lord Ganesha, perform the Avahana (prayer of Lord Ganesha) and the Pratyakshapan (installing the Ganesha statue). Then the flower, the broad, the fruits, the water, the dhup-deep for Ganesha and then the Ganesha arati.
