Google, a provider of Internet products and services, said on Monday that the deadline for Indian app developers to join its play billing system has been increased by six months to 31 March 2022. This initiative has been taken by Google at a time when many Indian enterprises and startups have raised concerns about Google Play’s bill system. He says that the Indian app developer, the leading technology company, cannot compel their owners to essentially use Google Play’s billing system to sell any digital services.

It is interesting to see here that in the meantime Paytm has announced the launch of its Android mini app store. This will support the Indian app developer. Paytm is competing with Google Pay in this area. Google has said, “… we are extending the deadline for India-based app developers to join the play billing system.” This will ensure that they will get full time to make UPI available on Google Play as a payment option. The deadline is March 31, 2022 for all apps currently used by Google to use alternative systems for payment.

Google had earlier told the app that sells digital content through its Play Store that they would have to use the Google Play billing system for the sale and pay a percentage of it as fees. He gave time till 30 September 2021 to complete the necessary process in this regard. This deadline has now been extended to March 2022.
