Royal Challengers Bangalore has added three players to its squad for the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. RCB have added Sri Lanka all-rounder Hasaranga, Dushmand Chamira and Tim David. If Hasaranga were to replace Adam Zampa, Tim David would be replaced by Finn Allen. At the same time, Dushmant Chamira replaces Daniel Sam. The remaining 31 matches of the IPL 2021 will be held in the UAE from September 19. In the first match, Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings.
Hassaranga’s performance against India in the ODI and T20 series was very good. Hasaranga took 3 wickets in ODIs and 7 wickets in three T20s. Hasaranga has been replaced by Adam Zampa in the RCB squad. Jampa has decided not to play in the remaining matches of the IPL in the UAE. At the same time, Singapore’s batsman Tim David has been replaced by Finn Allen in the RCB squad. Allen has been selected in the New Zealand squad for the series against Bangladesh, due to which he will not be available for the IPL. Fast bowlers Ken Richardson and Daniel Sams have also decided to stay away from the tourney. Bangalore’s performance in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League was excellent and the team won 5 out of 7 matches.
Recently, Punjab Kings have added Australian emerging fast bowler Nathan Ellis to the squad for the second phase of the IPL 2021. Ellis has been inducted into the squad following the withdrawal of Rickey Richardson and Riley Meredith from the tourney. The Kangaroo bowler made his international debut with a hat-trick against Bangladesh. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have been training in Dubai for the remaining 31 matches of the IPL.
