Hockey umpire manager Virendra Singh has died due to Kovid

Indian hockey umpire manager Virendra Singh has died due to complications related to Kovid-19. He was 47 years old. He died in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Virender participated in all-India tournaments and national championships as umpires manager.

His job was to select the best umpires for the matches. In addition he was employed in railways. Hockey India has condoled his death. Hockey India President Gnanendro Ningomboum said, ‘We are very saddened by the untimely demise of Virender Singh. Apart from match-related work, he was actively involved in Hockey India’s work with umpires and technical officials.
